Altın Örümcek Web Awards Have Been Granted!

Beşiktaş Municipality’s English Portal has been deemed worthy of the second place in the ‘Public Institutions Category’ in the 14th Altın Örümcek (Golden Spider) Web Awards Contest.

Having become a tradition in Turkey as an annual competition and known as the Turkish Oscars of the Internet, the Altın Örümcek Web Awards is the first and only independent internet awards organization in Turkey, which is aimed at further promoting successful projects carried out making use of web and internet technologies and enabling them get the attention they deserve, bringing them forward and encouraging investments to be made in this field.

The 14th Altın Örümcek Web Awards were granted at the prize-giving ceremony held at the UNIQ Istanbul on June 2, 2016. During the night, the top three projects elected as a result of the evaluation of the jury as well as the ‘Favorites of the Public’ elected only through the votes of the public were announced.

The English web portal of the Beşiktaş Municipality came in second in the ‘Public Institutions Category’ at the 14th Altın Örümcek Web Awards.

The Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group was the winner and the Cultural Portal of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism came in third in the ‘Public Institutions Category’ at the 14th Altın Örümcek Web Awards Ceremony.

And the Anıtkabir Web Portal, administrated by the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), was the winner in the ‘Favorites of the Public’ category.
