Arnavutköy Festival Brings Neighbours Together for the 22nd Time

The 22nd Traditional Arnavutköy Festival, organized by Beşiktaş Municipality in cooperation with the Bosphorus Arnavutköy Residents Association, brought together residents of all ages for a day of community celebration in Arnavutköy. Held at Arnavutköy Ömer Yılmaz Güven Park, the festival once again highlighted the importance of neighbourhood culture, social solidarity, and local traditions.

Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed live music performances, community activities, and a variety of stands operated by local residents. From handmade crafts and accessories to clothing and gift items, the festival provided an opportunity for neighbours to showcase their work while contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the event. The colorful stands and lively performances attracted strong public interest and created a welcoming gathering space for the community.

Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Rasim Şişman attended the festival, visited the stands, and met with local residents and volunteers. In his remarks, he emphasized the important place of Arnavutköy in the cultural memory of Beşiktaş and underlined the value of traditions that bring neighbours together, strengthen social ties, and preserve the unique identity of local communities. He also expressed his appreciation to the Bosphorus Arnavutköy Residents Association, volunteers, residents, and all those who contributed to the organization of the event.

The festival concluded after a full day of activities and musical performances, once again demonstrating the enduring importance of neighbourhood traditions and community engagement in Beşiktaş.
