Gyeonggi-do Provincial Youth Council Delegation Visits Beşiktaş Municipality

Beşiktaş Municipality welcomed a delegation from the Gyeonggi-do Provincial Youth Council of the Republic of Korea on 2 July as part of an international exchange programme aimed at providing young people with opportunities to gain international experience and explore cultural and economic cooperation.

During the visit, participants exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration between Türkiye and the Republic of Korea. Discussions also focused on the youth programmes carried out by Beşiktaş Municipality and Gyeonggi-do Province, including student support initiatives, environmental policies, and zero-waste practices. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to share experiences and strengthen mutual cooperation.

As part of the programme, the delegation toured the Beşiktaş Municipality headquarters, where they were introduced to the responsibilities and ongoing work of the municipality’s departments and gained further insight into the municipality’s services and local government practices.
