What to Do for a Fitter Brain?

The event of “Beşiktaş at Any Age" for our neighbors aged 65+ is coming soon.

Performing mental activities to preserve cognitive skills, stimulating brain with complex activities and learning new skills are the protective factors for our brain health and the correct way of staying mentally active. Doing mind exercises on a regular basis reduces the risk of cognitive dysfunction in later years. Within this framework, we invite our neighbors aged 65+ to the event organized by Beşiktaş Municipality with the theme of "What to Do for a Fitter Brain?"

The talk, which will be held on 4 July, Monday at Ulus Senior Community Center, is going to cover the actions to take for reducing the effects of aging on mind and how to stay active and healthy while getting along in years. Clinical psychologist and lecturer Fatma Gültan Turan will be participating in the event, and she will talk about the importance of performing mental trainings, and recommend essential brain exercises for the elderly. After the talk, the neighbors will practically learn how to perform certain mind exercises for a fitter brain.
