Mayor Akpolat Met with Foreign Mission Representatives!

Preparations for the International Beşiktaş Festival have begun...

Mayor of Beşiktaş Rıza Akpolat met for breakfast with consuls general and diplomatic mission representatives in Istanbul as part of Beşiktaş International Meeting 22 organized by our municipality. Explaining the activities and services of our municipality, Akpolat gave the good news about the "International Beşiktaş Festival", which will be held in May and June and will be a first in Turkey.

In his speech at Beşiktaş International Meeting, Mayor Akpolat informed his guests about the projects implemented by our municipality, from the "Open Mic- Neighborhood Meetings" activities to the "Öğrenci'YE" project, from the "Women's Solidarity and Life Center" to the "Semt Kart" application, also inviting them to be a stakeholder of "International Beşiktaş Festival".

Emphasizing that Beşiktaş and Turkey will have a world-class festival as of 2022, Akpolat said:  "We have determined our annual events within the scope of 2022 culture and arts planning. We want to bring the tradition of a city festival, which will take place for the first time in Turkey with such diversity and which we aim to make sustainable, to our country and our Beşiktaş. We want this festival to be Beşiktaş's biggest brand after BJK. We will turn Beşiktaş into a work of art. The cultural and artistic values that you will add to the festival are very important to us. We want to organize this festival together with you as Beşiktaş's second brand that opens to the world. I expect you to contribute to our festival as well. In this sense, I invite all consuls and cultural representatives in their countries to be stakeholders of the festival."
