Beşiktaş is preparing to host an International Garden and Flower Festival. It is intended that the Festival, which is planned to start on May 6, 2016, becomes a domestic and international hallmark event of the Beşiktaş District and will be continued in the upcoming years. The theme of the festival is "peace" and the festival will be curated by the former director of the Chelsea Flower Show, Stephen Bennett.

The festival aims to develop the culture of personal gardening and growing flowers at home. It will help to raise the society’s perception of botanic and green environment as well. It will convene people of all ages with an offer of various entertainment, arts and cultural activities relating to achieving peace in public spaces of the city.

All international cities, city administrations, business owners are invited to join and participate through one of the following activities;

1. Show Gardens Exhibitor: creating a show garden area

2. Designer Sponsor: sponsoring a designer (garden designer, art designer, architect, etc.) from your own country to participate in the festival relating to the fields

3. Arts &Culture Performances: bringing up an art&culture project which will take place during the festival (performance group, music, exhibition, etc.)

4. Our Own Idea of Participation as City: We are happy to listen to your own ideas about how to take place
