Our municipality is organizing Idea Workshop meetings to come together with universities and students in Beşiktaş to work on urban life...
The first Idea Workshop started with the European Solidarity Program (ESC) informational meeting held at Karaoğlan Youth Center on Saturday, February 26th. Şeyma Keskin, Secretary of the Board of the Toy Youth Association and Programs Officer of the Ali İsmail Korkmaz Foundation, came together with the youth as part of the meeting. Keskin gave information about the programs that young people can apply to in our country or abroad, how to apply to these programs, and the necessary documents and preparation. While the people who had previously participated in the European Solidarity Corps shared their experiences at the meeting, our Directorate of Foreign Relations made a presentation on the projects carried out within the scope of the program.
What is the Idea Workshop?
It is a project in which we will create ideas to make our city a more livable place together with stakeholders such as the youth at universities, faculty members, mass and non-governmental organizations working in partnership with universities, and leading experts and institutions. We will make plans in line with the ideas and targets that emerge with the participation of our stakeholders in these workshops that once again highlight the participatory local government approach adopted by our municipality. The idea workshop, which is designed to be an area where participation is high and discussions are conducted in a mature and democratic manner throughout, will shed light on the problems of our city and lead to solutions within this context with the opinions, suggestions, and joint efforts of participating individuals and institutions.
