Honoring Masters with Onur Akın Concert!

The Beşiktaş Municipality is organizing a memorial night in memory of the masters of Turkish Literature, all of whom passed away in past Junes, through a concert by Onur Akın at the Abbasağa Park. The early June is the death anniversary of three of our great poets and writers…

The Beşiktaş Municipality commemorates our master poets Nazım Hikmet and Ahmed Arif, and the master writer Orhan Kemal with Onur Akın concert at Abbasağa Park.

The three masters, who suffered a great deal of pain and trouble all through their lives for the sake of their fight for their country and were imprisoned, exiled from their hometown, are being remembered by the Beşiktaş Municipality with a concert by Onur Akın.

Three hearts; devoting themselves to the matters of their country, beating for their people...

The memories of the three populist highbrows Nazım Hikmet, Ahmed Arif and Orhan Kemal, who fought for a more just world for years giving voice to the fight, love and longing, will be kept alive through the songs of Onur Akın.

We would like to welcome all our residents at the concert that will take place at Abbasağa Park at 8 pm on Friday June 5th.
