Dance Your Way UP Project in Malaga

European Union Erasmus+ Project conducted under the name of “Dance Your Way Up” has been held in Alora, Spain, between 25 March and 3 April 2023, with the partnership of Beşiktaş Municipality.

Funded by Spain and partnered by Türkiye, the Youth Exchange project “Dance Your Way Up” brought together many young people with disabilities, or limited opportunities, as part of Erasmus+ Projects of the European Union. The project’s coordination was spearheaded by the Imagina Association based in Malaga, while the Beşiktaş Municipality took part as the project’s representative partner in Türkiye.

The project was carried out with the participation of 21 individuals in total, including the project coordinators and the individuals with limited opportunities from 7 institutions located in Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Portugal, Greece, and Türkiye.

During the 10-day project, participants focused on promoting social inclusion, cultural incorporation, embracing differences, as well as developing different methods for improving thinking and communication skills through national and modern dances. 21 individuals with different talents from 7 different countries (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Türkiye, Greece, Poland, and Romania) shared their learning experience together through workshop activities and group exercises.
