65+ Living Offices Have Been Opened to Add to Our Lives!

Our municipality has implemented 65+ (Senior Citizen) Living Offices to provide better quality service to our elderly neighbors and to produce quick and facilitated solutions by uniting requests under a single roof. Our office was opened on the ground floor of the Levent Main Service Building with the aim to coordinate all services directly related to our neighbors over the age of 65. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat and 65+ Elder Rights Association Founder and Board Member Ferhat Boratav.

A member of the Network of Age-Friendly Cities, our municipality continues to stand by our citizens and elderly neighbors in need with the practices it has implemented in Beşiktaş. 65+ Living Offices are only the newest addition to the many services offered by our municipality such as daily warm food distribution from food kitchens, Halk Card, the Well-Being Service, Home Health Care Services, "Dost Eller" Taxi, and diaper, bed pad and wheelchair supplies.

What is a 65+ Living Office?
It is an office that provides information and consultancy services to every individual over the age of 65 on issues such as healthy and active aging, preventing dementia, elder rights, institutional care, and municipal services, as well as coordinating and producing projects for individuals over the age of 65.
