23 April Children’s Day Joy in Beşiktaş

Beşiktaş Municipality celebrated National Sovereignty and Children’s Day on 23 April with a vibrant programme held at the World Peace Park, bringing together children and families in a festive atmosphere. Dedicated to children by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the day was marked with a strong sense of joy, participation, and community spirit across the district.

Throughout the day, children took part in a wide range of educational and entertaining activities, including creative workshops, puppet shows, music performances, and art sessions. The programme also featured games, surprise gifts, and refreshments, allowing children to fully enjoy the spirit of the holiday. Earlier in the day, celebrations were also held at municipal day care centers, where young children shared in the excitement of this meaningful occasion.

Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Rasim Şişman attended the event and joined children and their families in the celebrations. Taking part in the activities, he shared the festive spirit with participants, released balloons together with children, and visited workshop areas throughout the park.

In his remarks, Rasim Şişman emphasized the importance of creating safe and joyful environments for children, noting that their well-being and happiness remain among the municipality’s top priorities. As part of the programme, he also joined children in planting saplings at the park, turning the day into a lasting and symbolic memory.

Through these celebrations, Beşiktaş Municipality once again highlighted its commitment to supporting children’s development and fostering inclusive community spaces where families can come together on meaningful occasions.
