The third and last step of The Protect Project trainings have been completed in Pau, France. The Protect Project is an Erasmus+ project aiming to develop innovative education tools to raise awareness and give information about child sexual exploitation. The first of the series of trainings were held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the participants have discussed the issues such as exclusion, territorial conflict and inclusion under the main title of "Child Sexual Exploitation". The topics discussed in the second training in Turkey involved social exclusion, social inclusion, child brides and paedophilia. Lastly, the subjects such as online security, cyber bullying, outing, trickery, grooming, cyber bashing, denigration, impersonation, threatening, harassment, cyberstalking, targeting have been emphasized during the third and final training held in France. At the end of the project, which will last for a total of 3 years, a toolkit will be developed to evaluate all these trainings and to ensure that the information obtained is used by other project partners and young trainees. After the second training hosted by Beşiktaş Municipality between the 28th March and the 1st of April, 2022; every participant country designed a children’s game about child protection. The project coordinators from Beşiktaş Municipality have attended the third training held in Pau, France between June 13 and 17, and as part of this training, they have had the chance to develop various tools aside from children’s games. In the upcoming stages of The Protect Project, a comprehensive workshop on the utilization of these tools will be held in all participating countries. The workshop is expected to bring together 30 youth workers and representatives of NGOs working in this field. Detailed announcement of the workshop will be made on our website and corporate social media accounts.
