It is located on the hillside of the Istanbul Bosphorus, between the quarters of Ortaköy and Kuruçeşme. Standing on a rugged land, the Woods bear upright slopes. The syrface area is 22 decares. The initial owner of the Woods is Seniha Sultan, the daughter of Abdülmecid I who was one of the Padishahs of the Ottoman Empire. After Seniha Sultan, the ownership of the Woods passed on to her son, Prince Sabahattin. The trees inside the Woods is not that tall, which include laurel trees, phllyrea trees, nettletree, terebinth trees, ash trees, redbud trees, olive trees and lime trees.
