The Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat was deemed worthy of an award "Local Government Volunteer of the Year" by LÖSEV…
As part of International Volunteer Day, LÖSEV (The Foundation for Children with Leukemia) held an event in Istanbul. The organization included LÖSEV volunteers and persons engaged in volunteer activities, and medals were given to heartfelt supporters of LÖSEV, who were dubbed "Volunteers of the Year" with their support.
Mayor Rıza Akpolat, who has supported The Foundation for Children with Leukemia since the day he assumed office and stated, "The strength that children find for this fight is our greatest hope," received the Local Government Volunteer of the Year award in this context. LÖSEV Istanbul Deputy Provincial Coordinator Ayşe Ertuğrul granted the prize to the Beşiktaş Vice Mayor Esra Yenidünya, who attended the ceremony on representative of Mayor Rıza Akpolat.
Mayor Rıza Akpolat, in a statement following the meaningful award he got from the Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV), expressed his feelings as follows: "I dedicate this award to the mothers of LÖSEV. We can only offer our prayers and support for your tremendous efforts on behalf of your children. I would like to express my gratitude to the entire LÖSEV family for the 'Local Administrations Volunteer' award. I'm honored."
