Huge Service to Students from Beşiktaş Municipality!

The Beşiktaş Municipality has carried out a meaningful project in order to meet students’ needs. The "Öğrenci’Ye"  (# STUD'Eats) project, which is aimed at providing university students with clean, reliable and free meal via an application, was initiated through cooperation between the Beşiktaş Municipality and TURYİD (Turkish Restaurant and Entertainment Association) as part of Beşiktaş Municipality’s "Student Policies Movement". Having started to be implemented in the district of Beşiktaş, the Project was publicized at the Karaoğlan Youth Center of the Beşiktaş Municipality.   Gathering with students at the publicity event, the Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat explained the details of the project, and ate the first meal of the application with the students.

What is Öğrenci’Ye (# STUD'Eats) Project?

Designed as a social solidarity application being one of a kind in Turkey, the "Öğrenci’Ye" project was accomplished by our municipality in cooperation with the TURYID and with the support of the restaurants in Beşiktaş. It was developed as an innovative mobile application to support students' nutrition rights. As part of the project, university students residing in Beşiktaş or studying at the universities in Beşiktaş will be able to eat at the contracted restaurants in our district free of charge. Reserving their table at the restaurants via the mobile application, the students will be able to meet their meal needs.

The university students studying or residing in Beşiktaş will be able to benefit from this service by signing up through the application with their student certificates and Covid-19 vaccination certificates. All they need to do is to register by downloading the application. As the Beşiktaş Municipality, we will continue to support youth so that they can get the opportunities they deserve.
