“A Different Atmosphere”
The artist who made some statements after the show has expressed his enthusiasm about Türkiye with the following words:
“Türkiye is a country with truly fascinating beauties. I have been a guest in unique places from Istanbul to Izmir, from Ankara to Bodrum, as well as to Cappadocia. There was also an exciting atmosphere in this place tonight. The mystical atmosphere of Ortaköy’s Historical Hüsrev Kethüda Hammam and the enthusiasm of the audience created a very different atmosphere here. I would like to thank Beşiktaş Municipality for their contribution in the creation of this atmosphere.”
Mathieu Forget came to Türkiye in November 2021, upon the invitation of the Institut Français, and since then he has been a guest at the places where the country’s most important cultural assets are located. By suspending time, the artist highlighted the beauties of those areas while performing his choreography. His performance at Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü), executed with a surreal and poetic expression, took its place among the artist's symbolic works.
The exhibition of L'invitation au Voyage #4 is open to visit between 10:00 to 19:00 at Historical Hüsrev Kethüda Hammam in Ortaköy until the 27th February.
