The European Voluntary Service, conducted as part of the Erasmus+ Program of the Center for European Union Education and Youth Programmes under the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is one of the greatest opportunities that provide young people with the chance to take part in international activities and to gain experience abroad. 

As part of our new projects “Multicultural EVS in Beşiktaş” and “EVS 4 Beşiktaş Youth”, 8 young people aged 18-30 from Beşiktaş will render voluntary services in Italy for a period of 59 days and the expenses including visa, travel, accommodation, food, and also allowances will be covered from the grant received from the European Union. The call for the Projects and the details will be announced on the web site of our Municipality in the upcoming days.  

Since the establishment of our Municipality’s Foreign Affairs Directorate, the total amount of the grants we have received from the EU for our 8 projects, 5 of which have already been completed, has exceeded 41,671 Euros. As part of these projects, the young people we sent from Beşiktaş to Europe have provided voluntary services for 614,400 hours in total up to now.
