What is European Voluntary Service (EVS)?
European Voluntary Service (EVS) is an international volunteer program funded by the European Union that enables young people aged 18-30 years to participate in a social project performed in an EU country for a period from 2 weeks to 12 months.
The goal of the EVP program is to encourage and support young people to participate in various voluntary activities to be carried out inside and outside the European Union. The program also aims to stimulate youngsters to take part in voluntary actions or studies at non-governmental organizations and public institutions in various countries.
EVS is a free of charge program and the travel expenses, accommodation, food, health insurance and monthly allowance will be covered by the Turkish Ministry of European Union Affairs and the Beşiktaş Municipality. At the end of the EVS program, the volunteers will receive a certificate called Youthpass.
