Beşiktaş Municipality Visiting Dialogue in the Dark Exhibition!

The staff members of the Beşiktaş Municipality are attending the ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ exhibition within the scope of the January 7-14 Turkey White Cane Blind Week.

The staff members of the Beşiktaş Municipality are visiting the ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ exhibition within the scope of the January 7-14 Turkey White Cane Blind Week. The event is being held with a view to empathize with the blind people and to try to experience the difficulties they suffer every day to some extent at least. The participants try to find their way through the utter darkness with the help of the white cane they are provided to hold.

Dialogue in the Dark offers the chance to experience the troubles the blind citizens encounter in the urban life, while teaching ‘new ways of seeing’ by smelling, hearing and touching. Through this event, it is aimed to increase the awareness of all the staff members and to offer guidance with the connected studies and works of the related units.

The Beşiktaş Municipality is going to expand the scope of the project in the upcoming days taking the primary schools, secondary schools and high schools in Beşiktaş to the exhibition as well.
