The Beşiktaş Municipality has achieved the Bronze Category in the Global Excellence Index of the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management).
The EFQM Global Excellence Index is a unique multipurpose platform developed by EFQM, whose main attribute is to recognize the world’s best performing organizations on their journey to sustainable Excellence, but that’s not all. Indeed, the Index allows organizations to gain exposure and showcase their best and role model practices, to benchmark with one another as well as be promoted beyond the EFQM recognition scheme.
The EFQM Global Excellence Index assesses the best performing organizations on the global scale and recognizes them in four categories according to their levels;
Platinum (over 700 points)
Gold (over 600 points)
Silver (over 500 points)
Bronze (over 300 points)
The core foundation purpose of the Index is to create an international data base aimed at benchmarking across other global organizations.
The success earned by the Beşiktaş Municipality can be better understood by having a glance at these figures: only 1045 out of the total of 30.000 organizations using the EFQM model have been ranked in the Index and only 77 of them are international public institutions. As a result of the assessments performed, the Beşiktaş Municipality has been one of those institutions and recognized as one of the world’s best performing organizations, being qualified in the Bronze Category in the Global Excellence Index of the EFQM.
