Our municipality sent a wide range of teams and equipment to Milas in order to heal the wounds of forest fires there all together.
Turkey has been fighting against forest fires that started in various parts of the country recently. A mobilization was initiated to stop the fires that broke out in the forest in Manavgat District of Antalya, followed by simultaneous fires in many different parts of the country.
Taking action in order to heal the wounds in the fire areas, our municipality sent two animal ambulances, two mobile kiosks, ambulances, refrigerated trucks, and a lot of equipment to Milas, accompanied by our support service teams.
Following up the developments in the region instantly, Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat gave a message of unity and solidarity saying: "We will bring aid to all the burning locations, especially Bodrum and Milas, within all our means, with a view to help put out the fires first and then heal the wounds. We must grow solidarity in desperate and difficult times. We will continue to mobilize for the regeneration of every plant, for the soil to reunite with trees, water, insects, that is, life. This country was founded with unity and solidarity; and now this is how we will overcome disasters once again.”
